Résumé
Lorraine Burton élève seul son fils de 7 ans, Chad, depuis son divorce qui l'a laissée particulièrement démunie, émotionnellement et financièrement. Son ex-mari, un militaire passé en court martiale, ne lui est d'aucun secours. Un jour, alors qu'elle se gare dans une station-service pour y acheter les pizzas surgelées dont Chad et elle devront se contenter, Lorraine est prise en otage par Roy, un gangster qui vient de commettre le cambriolage d'une banque. L'homme les contraint à remonter en voiture et à prendre la route de Tijuana, au Mexique. Lorraine va avoir besoin de tout son courage pour protéger son fils...
