Résumé
Joan Webster, une fille de banquier, est résolue à faire un mariage de raison. Elle quitte donc Londres pour rejoindre son futur époux dans l'archipel des Hébrides. En chemin, une tempête l'oblige à rester quelque temps sur la côte écossaise, où elle croise un farfelu dont elle tombe amoureuse...
